Sir,
Simranjit Singh Mann is asking the Sikhs abroad to step up lobbying efforts in their countries and try to bring moral and economic pressure against India for its violation of Sikh human rights, I think that this statement should help most of the well-meaning Sikhs who want to help our brethren in Punjab. From the same interview it is clear that sending money to help the families of those who have been killed or tortured is also not a safe bet, because we know that the money we send never reaches those it was intended for.”
May I suggest that if during these critical times we forget our monumental differences with other communities why cannot we forget personal differences between members of our own community and form a united front to expose Indian oppression and tyranny?
I suggest leaders of all major Sikh organizations talk to each other and form a joint plan of action. I would suggest WSO play the elder brother annual meeting on July 28th and offer support in case these leaders like to rejoin WSO.
I suggest to leaders of other Organizations to return such gestures with equal grace and agree to work for the glory of the Panth and not for their personal fame or glory. In the last round we mustered 204 votes against India’s 213, think what we can achieve if we unite and pool our resources.
