NEW DELHI: Atinderpal Singh MP now lodged in Tihar jail in connection with several cases has alleged that the jail superintendent had recently threatened to liquidate him. In letters to the PM and the Lok Sabha speaker Atinderpal Singh wrote on May 31 that the jail authorities had hurt his religious sentiments by serving him food with cigarette butts in it. He said he was on a protest hunger strike. The superintendent Parkash Mahapatra however denied these allegations.
The Sikh MP also alleged that he was kept on death row and forced to witness executions.
