BARODA: Excavations in the little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat have led to the discovery of the first   culture site in the state at Nagwada village of Surendrangar district.

The site is one of the 31 Harappan culture sites unearthed in the estuary of river Rupen, by the department of archaeology and ancient history (DAAH) of the M S University of Baroda, and provides valuable evidence on pre Harappan peasant and later Harappan settlements.

Disclosing this Prof K.M Hegde, said all these sites were located on sand dunes.
