LONDON: Indian envoy to Britain Kuldip Nayar has said he was in touch with a section of the pro-Khalistan protagonists in UK and hopes to initiate a formal dialogue with them next month.
“There is a perceptible change in the psyche of these so called Khalistan protagonists in Britain since the Janata Dal government has come to power and they are in a mood to talk to the new government with an open mind,” Nayar told reporters after a successful visit to five gurdwaras in Leeds, including the Chapel Town Gurdwara controlled by International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF).
The Khalistan Govt in exile on being contacted by WSN dismissed the report as nonsense as their stand was clear and Khalistan was nonnegotiable.
There has been talk of one group having secret parleys with the Govt but this group will soon be exposed they said.
