Sir,

History should judge Indira and Rajiv Gandhi as the greatest political calamity that struck India since partition in 1947.

It was a crime for Rajiv to have put S.S. Mann in jail for over 5 years on false charges and then have him released after he won the elections in Punjab.

Similarly thousands of other Sikhs who have been tortured or have been killed by the Punjab security forces in fake encounters will forever be remembered as martyrs and not as terrorists the way they have been labeled by India.

An inquiry or punishing those involved in the massacre of 1984 Sikhs should not be considered as a major concession for Sikhs but a birth right of every human being in a civilized world,

If Arjan Singh deserves to be the Lt Governor of Delhi in his seventies then let it be so and should not be considered as a concession.

Y.P. Singh has the last opportunity to save Punjab because he can be given the benefit of doubt. Let freedom ring for Sikhs in Punjab if that is what they want. Autonomy is still better than full scale independence. The later might be the price India may have to pay if the unrest continues much longer.
