MADRAS: At least 24 men died after drinking spurious liquor in Thattanchavadi village in South Arcot district of Tamil Nadu Saturday.
More deaths were feared, official sources here said.
According to information received here, several persons had lost their sight after drinking the illicit liquor and over 100 persons had been hospitalized.
One person had been arrested in connection with the sale of spurious liquor, the sources said.
