AMRITSAR: There has been a re-alignment of forces among Sikh militant forces in the wake of Harminder Singh Sandhv’s death whose responsibility is as yet difficult to pin down. Some Sikh underground factions say they killed the AISSF leader but a large section of well-informed sources say it was the handiwork of government agents.

The killing was owned by the Panthic Committee headed by Dr. Sohan Singh, AISSF (Daljit), Babbar Khalsa and certain other groups. However the old Panthic Committee of Baba Gurbachan Singh condemned the killing as the beginning of a fratricidal war among Sikhs he also opposed the verbal attacks on Baba Thakur Singh of the Damdami Taksal.

Baba Manochahl also recognized Manjit Singh as president of AISSF.

In a significant development the Bhindranwale Tiger Force of Khalistan led by Baba Manochal has succeeded in wooing the KCF and persuaded it to cooperate with the AISSF (Manjit) and the Taksal.

At a joint secret session attended by Baba Manochahl, Bhai Karaj Singh, Surjit Singh Mehta, Bakshish Singh Sona Kairon Bhai Gurjant Singh Rajasthani, Sukjinder Singh, Kulwant Singh, Kewal Singh, to name a few it was decided not to allow anyone to talk to the government on anything short of Khalistan.

A press note after the meeting said the Panthic Committee would be reorganized soon presumably to give representation to the KCF. The joint secy of the two organizations said they would have closer ties with the AISSF in order to widen their mass base. It would be hard for the AISSF group to rub shoulders with the Mann group on sharing powder within the constitution of India. Alternatively the Manjit group will succeed in slowing eroding the credibility of the Panthic committee and finally persuade it to join hands with the Mann group.

Meanwhile, AISSF’s (Buttar) Ranjodh Singh and Baldev Singh Gurdaspur in a joint statement said that a group of persons in the Damdami Taksal was trying to distort Baba Thakur Singh’s image.

The Baba was asked to beware of this group. Bhai Barjinder Singh Panjwad of AISSF (Buttar) criticized Baba Manochahl and said he was playing into the hands of the Govt and was no longer loyal to the Sikh nation. Bhai Panjwad ruled ‘out unity with those aspiring for political offices. He asked Manjit Singh to give up his houses and cars and pick up an AK-47 if he was sincere to the cause. Or else he should retire to his village instead of trying to drive a wedge among militants.
