AMRITSAR: The representatives of all the political parties including Bharita Janaty Party Janta Dal The Communist Party of India and the Communist Party of Marxist held a meeting at the residence of Dr. Baldev Parkash a national vice president of BJP on Feb. 11. The meeting expressed their serious concern on the deterioration of the law and order situation in Punjab which has touched the lowest able despite the loud claims being made on the contrary by Punjab Administration, These leaders claimed that there was no rule of law in the state and the criminals acts in broad daylight has become the order of the day.”

Briefing newsmen after the meeting, Dr. Baldev Parkash said that in the rural areas of three border districts Amritsar Gurdaspur and Ferozepur the writ of govt was nowhere to be seen. He said that if no immediate action was taken the situation would reach to the point of no return.

These leaders accused the Gov. for not taking any action against those persons responsible for 1984 violence against the Sikhs in Delhi and other places in which thousands of Sikhs were killed.
