NEW DELHI, Oct 22, Reuter: Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev will make a three day visit to India from November 18 to 21. His second in two years, official sources said on Saturday.
Gorbachey, elevated to the presidency in September, last visited India in November, 1986.
The sources said Gorbachev will hold at least two sessions of talks with Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
They said he would also be awarded the Indira Gandhi peace prize, named after the Prime Minister’s mother and predecessor who was assassinated in 1984.
Gorbachev won the prize for his efforts to resolve conflicts around the world, and for espousing the cause of a nuclear free world, the sources said.
