Congressman Jim Moody was a guest of Milwaukee Sikhs on Sunday September 11, 1988 and was introduced by Dr. Dhaliwal in a very precise but very appropriate words, Dr. Soin appealed the congressman to support the Resolution 343 as introduced by Congressman Dan Burton, Dr. Mrs. Amarjit Singh of Racine represented the Sikh women of Milwankee and assured the Congressman of all the support. Dr. Balwant Singh Hansra spoke on the differences of democracies as prevalent in western countries and India where all values of human rights are being ignored.
Surinderpal Singh Kalra, Director of Administration of World Sikh Organisation stressed upon the need to register for votes to increase the political strength of the Sikh community. He thanked the Congressman on behalf of the Sikh community and World Sikh Organisation. He also praised the efforts of Milwaukee Gurdwara Management in Organising this brief but well planned function.
