CHANDIGRAH, India: The Janata Party, C.PI., C.P.M. Republican Party of India have agreed to forge an alliance for the coming elections to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha. This was disclosed to newsmen after the joint meeting of Bhishan Singh, Janata Party. Mr. Bhim Singh Dahia, Member of National Executive of Janata Party, Mr. Makhan Singh of Haryana C.P.I., Mr. Surinder Singh Malik member of the State Committee of the C.P.M., President of the Haryana Unit of RP.I. and Mr. Dalip Singh. President of Haryana Dalit Sena.
All leaders were present at the press conference. They said all the four parties have agreed unanimously to oppose the Congress (1) and the Haryana Sangharsh Samiti, comprising Lok Dalland B.J.P. as they were not interested in addressing to such basic problems of people as unemployment, poverty and corruption. There was need for an alliance to fight for the basic problems of the people.
Another joint meetings of these parties will be held somewhere in Haryana in the second week of January next to formulate election manifesto and terms of alliance between them. The number of seats to be contested by each of the parties will also be decided then.
