Twenty members of Indian Parliament met Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, in New Delhi and asked him that there should be no interference in Muslim personal laws. The delegation was led by Mrs. Najma Hidayatullaha, Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
There is a tremendous pressure on the Govt. by the fundamentalist Hindu organizations to annual Muslim personal laws and impose Hindu laws on all the religious minorities of India.
