Dear Sir:
Watching parliamentary debate from Ottawa these days can certainly improve one’s vocabulary! For example, the learned minister from Newfoundland, Mr. John Carnell Crosbie, a liberal turned P. C., a Dalhousie Law Graduate, said the following words in the parliament:
- cowardly, b. despicable, c. dastardly, d. cynicism, e. hypocrisy, f. scandal monger, g. monger of scurrilousness, h. ratpack, i. cop out, j. scums, k. bunch of poltroons, 1. rabble.
I have told my children not to watch parliamentary debates or current affairs on T.V. It is worse than watching “All in the Family.!”
