LUCKNOW: The Unttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha last week adopted a resolution seeking creation of a separate Uttarakhand state comprising eight hill districts.
The resolution moved by the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bent Prisad Verma, and adopted by the House unanimously seeks creation of a separate Uttarakhand state comprising of kurtarpura and Garliwal divisions of the state.
The districts are Nainital.
Almora, Pittoragarh, Pauri Garhwal, Chamali, Toh Garhwal, Uttar Kashi and Debra Dua.
