Elsewhere in the Valley, 21 people including 15 militants were killed and 20 arrested since Sunday, while the government claimed it was in touch with AlFaran militants who are holding four foreign tourists hostage.
Meanwhile, a security force patrol challenged some militants who were attempting to blow up a bridge at Mohripora in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on Sunday. The militants, opened fire which was returned by the security forces. However, the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
