NEW DELHI(PTI): In the exchange of fire, Gurdial Singh and Lachman Singh, a listed militant of the Babbar Khalsa outfit, were killed.
Malkiat Singh Ajnala, Lt Gen of Khalistan Liberation Fore, was among 82 militants of five police districts to surrender before director general of the Punjab police, K.P.S.Gill on May 5.
Besides Malkiat Singh, those surrendered included three, Kewal Singh alias Sukha Chira Lt. Gen of the K.C.F.Wassan, Amarjit Singh Sohal of Babbar Khalsa International and Harpal Singh alias Palla, Lt Gen of Khalistan Liberation Force and 78 other militants.
Meanwhile, reports from Punjab indicate that police atrocities on youth are on the increase, Youth in Punjab are terrified by the high handed methods employed. The target of the police are young college boys and members of AISSF.
