UJJAIN: Eight members of a family were shot dead by some armed men in Sumrakhera village in Maharashtra Sunday.
Family dispute was stated to be the cause of the incident, police said.
The victims included Mahendra singh Dixit, block Congress I committee chief, his four sons, a daughter and two daughters in law.
Senior police officials from Ujjain have rushed to the village.
