JAMMU(PTI): Eight militants were killed in an encounter with army in a village in Doda district of Jammu in north Indian border state of Jammu and Kashmir Noy.11.
Official reports said on a tip off army laid siege around Babor village in Ghat division of the district where a large number of militants were hiding.
In the exchange of fire that followed at least eight militants were killed and an unspecified number wounded, the report said.
However, there was no casualty among the security forces.
The army continued its siege around the village in a bid to flush out the remaining militants from the village.
