CHANDIGARH, Indi After a brief full of two days, the gunmen again struck at two different places in Punjab and killed seven persons and injured six others. The gunmen killed two persons in the indiscriminate shooting on the outskirts of Ajnala, a sub divisional town in Amritsar district, The police said that two friends Surinder Kumar and Mohinderpal were strolling near the bus stand after closing their shops when a group of four gunmen fired at them, Surinder Kumar died at the spot while his friend succumbed to the injuries within an hour of his admission to the hospital. The security forces reached the spot immediately and launched a massive hunt for the gunmen but failed to apprehend them.
In the other incident one person ‘was shot dead and another seriously injured outside the town of Ajnala when gunmen fired indiscriminately.
