NEW DELHI: The seven Janata Dal MPs, who have been served with show-cause notice for defying on Monday last the party whip during the division on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, are again going to defy the whip issued to support the oppositions cut motions against the Railway budget.
The decision to issue a three-Line whip directing the members to be present in the House on March 16 & 17 was taken at a meeting of the National Front Left Front coordination committee.
Of the seven Janata Dal MPs, all of whom have been given a weeks’ time to submit their replies, Haji Ghulam Mohammed has already told party leaders he would be away from Delhi and would return only after Holy (March 19).
During Last Mondays voting on division five of these MPs had gotten themselves admitted in a local hospital after complaining of “chest pain.” They are now again contemplating to abstain from the House on some pretext or the other.
Party sources said once there plies to the show-cause notices were received by the March 20 deadline, the party leaders would write to the Lok Sabha Speaker, Shivraj Patil, urging the disqualification of the seven from the membership of the House.
OF the seven MPs, six are Ajit Singh supporters, They are, Rajnath Snkar Shasui, Arjun Singh Yadev, Ram Avadh, Ram Nhor, Haji Gulam Mohammed and Shi Seran Verma, The seventh MP, Anadi Charan Das, has, however not associated himself with Ajit Singh,
