U.S. Senate committee approved a plan that would charge most air and sea travelers $6.50 U.S. every time they enter the United States from Canada. But the senate finance committee agreed to take another look next week at the administration proposal, which is designed to replace revenue lost when benefits come down under the North American free trade agreement. Under the present U.S. law the $5 fee is not changed to the passengers entering from Mexico.
