NEW DELHI, India: Five Pakistani nationals were shot to death early Sunday in two separate encounters with the Indian Border Security Force, the United News of India reported.

The shootings occurred in the Anupgarh area of the northwest Indian state of Rajasthan, 229 miles west of New Delhi, UNI said, and the victims were not identified.

‘The number of such killings has increased in recent weeks as India has stepped up its borders Security activities to try to stem the flow of smugglers and mercenaries from Pakistan. India has accused Pakistan of harboring and training Sikh freedom fighters who are fighting for a fife of dignity and freedom in Punjab state. Pakistan denies the Allegation.
