PATIALA: This city was rocked by two powerful bomb blasts which claimed 5 lives on Monday. Over 40 persons were also injured in these blasts nine of them seriously.
The first bomb exploded near the Arya Samaj Chowk. It was a cycle bomb. Several children were hurt in this blast and were rushed to the Rajindra hospital.
The other bomb was in a scooterkala and Pappu who were riding it were blown to bits three bystanders near the Sheran vali gate were also killed.
