CALCUTTA: In all 40 bodies have so far been recovered from the debris of a four-storied building on Collin Lane in the eastern state of Calcutta which collapsed at 0350 hours Feb 28 police said.
They could not however specify the number of those trapped and injured.
Three floors of the building have completely collapsed leaving only part of the top floor above the surface eyewitnesses said.
