AYODHYA: Nearly 3400 Hindu volunteers proceeding to construct a temple at a disputed site were arrested Jan 10 on the 36th day of the protest in support of their move
The arrests were peaceful and there was no untoward incident police said.
Prominent among those arrested was a rightwing BJP legislator Dinesh Jauhari and Jairam Das a priest of the Nemisaran temple Titapur.
