KANNUR KERALA: Three men were charred to death and another suffered extensive bums when an oil tanker burst into flames early Wednesday at the Kannur railway station in Kerala.

Two railway employees died on the spot while the third died of burn injuries in hospital later. The men were trying to plug leak in a tanker wagon of a goods train when it caught fire. The blaze soon spread to four other wagons causing extensive damage to them as well as two coaches of an empty express train parked on the adjacent platform.
