AMRITSAR: Three policemen were detained for teasing a college going daughter of a PCS officer, posted at Patti.
A case has been registered in the Civil lines police station against the three eve teasers who have placed under suspension. They weidentified as Balbir Singh, Nirwair and Vikram Singh.
According to the police, the constables had been following the girl up to the college every day for the last two weeks. When she brought the matter to her father’s notice, the officials caught the three offenders with the help of the bodyguards and handed them over to the police.
It is only because she was at PCS officer’s daughter that such action was taken. Media coverage on poor women being raped in villages has not attracted any action so far.
