HYDERABAD; Twenty-eight persons, including seven women and two children, were killed and six others injured when the truck in which they were travelling turned turtle at Dharmajipet gate of Dubak Mandal in Medak district of the southern India state of Andhra Pradesh Thursday.

The injured were admitted to a hospital reports here said.

Andhra Pradesh chief minister M. Channa Reddy expressed shock over the mishap and announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 5,000 each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 2,500 each to the injured.
