COLOMBO; At least 14 Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) militants and six army men were killed Overnight Dec 11 in Bun battles in northeastern Sri Lanka, military officials here said. While eight militants were killed in a gun battle at northern Mullen’ and two others at Valachenai in the east, the militants ambushed security forces at Morawewa in for Trincomalee on Dec 11 Killing five soldiers and injuring four others, of four LTTE militants a’ recovered by the forces after g that followed the ambush, the military officials said.
