SRINAGAR: In stepped up activities Pak trained militants Friday gun ned down a police officer and a businessman in Srinagar in the north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and exploded several bombs in the Kashmir valley since Thursday, reports PTI.
Station house officer of Masiuma police station, said Ulah, and a businessman, Ajay Kapoor, were shot dead by militants at a point blank range. While the station house officer was killed after offering prayers in a mosque at Mai suma, the businessman was shot at when he was proceeding to his shop from nearby residence in downtown Srinagar.
A series of bomb explosions in different parts of the valley including Srinagar caused extensive da mage to the buildings. Five explosions took place in Srinagar and two in south, Kashmir. . .
