GURDASPUR: Another incident involving the use of Punjab police station for anti-social activities has come to light. This time from Gurdaspur Two young girls, residents of Ahri village, were molested by policemen at the police chowki at Sabowa, 7 km from here, last week.

The girls were on their way home from Gurdaspur, when they were forcibly taken off their bus by a police constable of thana sadar police station, Gurdaspur. They were then taken to the police chowkint Sahowa where they were allegedly molested.

When members of the Sahowa panclmyat and villagers protested and attempted to get the girls freed, the police fired in the air to scare them off. The police eventually freed two- girls under pressure from the villagers.
