ISLAMABAD: Rangers moved in Karachi and Hyderabad following the resurgence of violence in Sindh that left 17 dead and over 50 Injured since Monday night, reports here said.

In another incident in Peshawar, one person was killed and 15 injured when a powerful bomb exploded outside the Peshawar hotel which houses the offices of Saudi airlines and Gulf air. The bomb was reportedly planted in a taxi parked near the hotel entrance.

At least 12 persons were killed and several injured in unabated violence in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Latifabad.

Violence erupted when a large contingent of police and rangers surrounded the residence of a leader of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM) and tried to arrest him, People in the area put up a stiff resistance and fought pitched battle with the security forces.
