BANGALORE (PTI): Seventeen people were killed and 22 injured when a Kamataka state road transport corporation but hit a bridge and plunged into a tank at Heggegundi about 25 kms from Davanagere in Chitradurga district of the southern state Kamataka last week.
According to information received at police headquarters here the accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control and hit the bridge before falling into the tank. All the bodies have been recovered and handed over to the relative’s police said.
Thirteen persons died on the spot while four succumbed to injuries in the hospital reports said.
