KARACHI: Indefinite curfew was imposed in three areas in Karachi district following ethnic violence over the last two days, which left 15 people dead and over 24 wounded, police said.
Troops and Para military forces are patrolling the area. Police cautioned the residents of Malir and Malir extension near Karachi international airport to stay indoors.
The violence erupted on Wednesday when some unknown armed gangs fired indiscriminately killing eight people including a teenage girl.
More than 2,000 people have been killed in violence in Karachi during last four years.
