CHANDIGARH: Fifteen people were killed and 25 injured when a powerful bomb exploded in a Punjab Roadways bus at Chintpurni in Una district of Himachal Pradesh on August 18.
Reports received here said that the bomb exploded minutes before the bus was scheduled to leave the Chintpurni bus stand. The vehicle had reached the bus stand at 1:15 pm.
The driver and conductor of the bus, Piara Singh and Joga Singh respectively were reported to be safe.
The reports said the blast was similar to the one having occurred in a Haryana Roadways bus near Karnal on August 9 in which 17 people were killed and 36 injured.
