GOPESHWAR (UTTAR PRADESH): Thirteen Sikh pilgrims were killed and 17 others injured, when a bus in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge near Joshimath Chamoli in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

The injured were admitted to a hospital, where the condition of five of them was stated to be serious, The bus was carrying 30 pilgrims from Govind Ghat Hemkund, according to official reports
