CANDIGARH, India: The security forces arrested 10 freedom fighters as Punjab remained incident free during the past 24 hours,
Stating this here, a police spokesman said six freedom fighters were arrested after an alleged exchange of fire with the police near Phupawa village under Makhu police station in Ferozepur district. They have been identified as Dohar Singh, alias Bohraj, Gurdev Singh, Roor Singh, alias Rura, Mal Singh, Malkiat Singh and Sadhu Singh.
In an alleged encounter, four freedom fighters were arrested from the area under Ghall Khurd police station in Ferozepur district. They were identified as Shamsher Singh, Jaswant Singh, alias Jungi, Jagjit Singh and Darshan Singh.
